Set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible parking and transit expenses.

Optum’s commuter benefit allows you to pay for qualifying monthly work-related transit and parking expenses tax-free.

You can elect, waive, and change your contribution amount for the commuter benefit directly with Optum at any time throughout the year. Your commuter benefit contribution is directly deducted from your paycheck on the last paycheck of the month prior to the elected benefit month. The deadline to make changes to your election is the 10th of each month for the following month. For example, orders for January need to be made by December 10th.

  • Parking costs at home
  • Parking when not commuting to or from work location

Getting Started

To get started, follow the instructions below.

  1. Visit Optum.
  2. Select Sign In at the center of the page.
  3. Select I have a commuter account Sign in.
  4. Enter your demographic information to begin ordering.
  5. Place your order by the 10th of the month for the following month

Attention New Hires!

An Optum profile must be created in order to allow you to place a commuter benefits order. Please allow up to 7 business days from your hire date to place your first order.
